Romania is the clear example of globalist intervention at its best and how the supposedly “tolerant” and “democratic” European Union operates. We all knew that Romania was ruled by a globalist puppet, but for the ordinary public it had not been proven until December last year.
EXCLUSIVE COMMENTARY FROM SIMION
I had the opportunity to speak with George Simion, leader of AUR and the second largest party in Romania, to discuss the situation and to get an exclusive statement (everything in quotation marks from Simion is the exclusive statement) from him.
“Romanian society is going through the most terrible political crisis in the last 35 years, since the fall of communism. The coup d’état of December 6, 2024, by annulling the entire electoral process of the presidential elections, and the lack of common-sense explanations for this unprecedented decision, have brought us to the situation we are in today”, said Simion.
In last year’s presidential elections and surprisingly, Câlin Georgescu, an independent candidate won the first round of the presidential elections in Romania. Georgescu, someone unknown to the wider European public, won the first round by campaigning heavily on the TikTok app and going on Romanian TV and radio. Georgescu, who polls were predicting between 6% and 8%, ended up winning the election, but how did it happen?
AND THAT’S HOW GEORGESCU WON…
People in Romania are very apolitical and disinterested in politics, as they have the feeling that all politicians are the same, in fact, the rate of perception of corruption in Romanian society is very high. Georgescu, someone who ran without any acronym and who came out with a speech clearly for the ordinary people, someone who defended sovereignty, tradition and the traditional family against the political establishment captivated the undecided and people who had never voted before. Let’s remember that in the 2020 elections for the Romanian parliament only 31.95% voted, one of the lowest turnouts in the European Union.
And so Georgescu won, with 22.9%, followed by Elena Lasconi (19.17%) and Ciolacu, who came third with 19.15%. The decisive vote of the Diaspora, in which Romanians living abroad were able to vote for three days, favored Georgescu, who obtained 43.35% of those votes. The big loser was Ciolacu, with only 2.87%.
QUESTIONABLE “DISCOVERIES” OF INTELLIGENCE SERVICES
After what happened, the Constitutional Court decided to recount all the votes of the first round after the parliamentary elections, which caused some controversy. At first they said they would do it on Friday, but then they announced that they would do it on Monday in order not to influence the parliamentary elections. On Monday prior to the second round, the results of the first round were validated after the counting of all the votes, which exceeded nine million, counted by only 500 people.
On Friday afternoon and without prior notice, the Constitutional Court held an emergency meeting and decided to suspend the elections that same day, despite the fact that people were already voting in the diaspora.
According to the Constitutional Court, the presidential elections had been suspended because of alleged irregular financing and alleged foreign interference. In a statement from Romanian intelligence, the secret services alleged that a TikTok user paid more than 361,000 euros to other users to promote Georgescu content. The intelligence authorities claimed that the information they obtained “revealed an aggressive promotional campaign” to increase and accelerate his popularity.

GEORGESCU WAS LEADING IN THE POLLS
The polls were clear: Georgescu was leading by a wide margin in all polls. According to the polls, it was practically impossible for Lasconi to face him. Why? First of all, the PSD had not defined which candidate it supported, leaving its voters free to choose who to back, while Georgescu did have the support of the conservative and nationalist candidates. Secondly, the diaspora was practically won by Georgescu, who got more than 43% of the votes in that category, in addition to the 13% that Simion got in the first round. Third, Romanian society is still more conservative than that of Western Europe; in fact, the PSD is not progressive, unlike the Spanish PSOE, so Lasconi’s progressive approach subtracted many points from it. And, finally, Georgescu had the “anti-party” discourse, which works well in many countries.
In fact, Georgescu was leading with up to 77% against Lasconi’s 23% in the diaspora when the Romanian Constitutional Court decided to annul the elections.
THE EU IN THE PERSON OF BRETON
Member States used to have a sovereignty with which they could decide what decision to make. However, over the years, that sovereignty has been reduced in order to be loyal to the objectives set by the European Union, or rather, to those of Agenda 2030 with its elite and philanthropists behind it.
Brussels bureaucrats have always denied such accusations, as they always claim that they are transparent and that they do not persecute any country for possible ideological or economic decisions they make; that they are simply trying to uphold the rule of law in member states and ensure compliance with the treaties.
Nevertheless, in recent years, this has changed, and European bureaucrats are becoming more and more nervous. The clearest example? A few days ago, former European commissioner Thierry Breton assured that the European Union has mechanisms to overturn an eventual AfD victory: ‘We did it in Romania and obviously we will do it in Germany if necessary.’
“Since January, hundreds of thousands of angry Romanians have taken to the streets in revolt against the repeated abuses of the current government and the organized criminal group that implemented the December coup.”, said Simion.

USAID IN ROMANIA
In the last few weeks there have been multiple reports concerning USAID, the US agency for International Development presenting itself as an organization supporting development, democracy and human rights. In fact, most of their funds were directed to opposition groups, NGOs with clear political agendas supporting destabilizing movements.
We have seen these processes in Hungary and Slovakia; but Romania is not far behind, which is confirmed by the statements of US diplomat and Donald Trump’s special envoy Richard Grenell.
‘The USAid programs were weaponized against people and politicians who weren’t woke. The Biden team spent US taxpayer money to support left wing programs and candidates around the world. Conservatives around the world were targeted. Romania is the latest example. @CiolacuMarcel’, Grennell wrote.
“American Vice-President JD Vance has spoken twice, both in Munich and in Washington, about what happened in Romania. The truth – because that is what Vance said – has driven those who applaud the coup d’état crazy”, said Simion.
PRESIDENT’S RESIGNATION UNDER PUBLIC PRESSURE
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis announced last month his resignation, ending his term in office before the presidential elections scheduled for May, and assured that his departure will prevent a crisis, as the Parliament is about to vote on his suspension.
“In a few days, the Romanian Parliament will vote on my suspension and Romania will enter a crisis…. This whole endeavor will have internal and, unfortunately, also external effects,” said Iohannis.
A month ago it was to be the third time that the AUR party was to push for impeachment proceedings in the Romanian Parliament concerning Iohannis. This was adding to the mounting pressure since the suspension of the December presidential elections, putting Iohannis between a rock and a hard place. Finally, faced with his possible forced removal from Parliament, he resigned.
CIOLACU IS NEXT
Two months ago there was a large demonstration in Bucharest to denounce what happened in the second round of the presidential elections, and that in fact, they called for the resignation of the president. The demonstration was attended by more than 100,000 people.
“Former Romanian President Iohannis has resigned after 50 days of usurping the highest office in the state. Next to remove is Social Democrat Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu. AUR Party, along with the other opposition parties, will submit a no confidence motion in the Parliament in order to oust this illegitimate government as well. On March 1st we are organizing the biggest protest ever in Bucharest, expecting hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country. Our cry can be heard all over the world. Patriots will finally take their country back!”, said Simion.
UNQUESTIONABLE WINNER
Romania is one of the most blatant cases of globalist intervention. In fact, even the Venice Commission stated that, regarding what had happened in Romania, evidence must be given: ‘An election annulment must be based on transparent evidence, not classified information.’
Supposedly, presidential elections will be held again in Romania in early May (4th May), if the Parliament approves that date. Although there may not be a complete election rerun in the end, i.e. now that Iohannis has resigned, Georgescu and his men are seeking to have the Constitutional Court annul the decision to suspend the elections. If this were the case, the second round would be re-run, although this scenario is more unlikely.
However, if new elections are held and Georgescu is allowed to run again, he will undoubtedly sweep the first round and maybe he would not need to go to the second one. According to the last polls, Georgescu would be around 50 per cent; specifically, according to the last one published by România TV, he would obtain 47 per cent.
