Călin Georgescu, former presidential election candidate, has been placed under judicial control by prosecutors from the General Prosecutor’s Office for a period of 60 days, he has several bans, including leaving the country without the permission of the judicial authorities, and is not allowed to post on social networks content of a legionist, fascist, anti-Semitic, racist or xenophobic nature, writes stiripesurse.ro.
A denouement of a day in which democracy and the will of the people have been curtailed by a handful of people in control in Romania.
THE GLOATING OF SOROS SCHOLARS
Interesting, however, is that today, everywhere you looked in Romania – in the written press, on social networks, everywhere, people were talking about Georgescu.
Those who have for years had benefits from Soros and USAID are rejoicing as if Trump has given the green light to USAID again. They claim it’s a victory over Russia, though you can see from the airplane that Georgescu is backed from the US.
Since Monday, the mainstream press has been rolling out a filthy article full of fabrications, a list of people who allegedly helped Georgescu.
The historian Mădălin Hodor, vice-president of the National Council for the Study of Security Archives (CNSAS), recently published on his Facebook page a detailed list of people who support the politician Călin Georgescu. These include controversial figures, including pro-Russian politicians, oligarchs and businessmen accused of various crimes.

WHO IS HALLUCINATING THE KREMLIN?
The investigation published on artvoice.com, referred to by Hodor, highlights several individuals who allegedly supported Călin Georgescu. For example, Alexei Komov: a member of the World Congress of Families, a Kremlin-backed organization designed to infiltrate conservative networks in the US and Europe.
Konstantin Malofeev: Russian oligarch known for his close ties to the Kremlin and for funding pro-Russian movements in Europe, writes Romanian press.
The Georgescu scandal, which is not leaving Romanians indifferent – as seen today in front of the Prosecutor General’s Office, as they went to protest – seems to have another purpose, not just to get him out of the presidential race.
The Defense Criminal Investigation Service (DCIS) and the Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) are conducting investigations in a cross-border criminal case concerning suspicions of corruption offenses against officials of an international organization”, is mentioned in the release of the authoritinforma Fanatik on February 21, 2025.
EXTENSIVE FBI INVESTIGATION
The National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) announced on Saturday that in the case, conducted in cooperation with US investigators from the Department of Defense – Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), the criminal prosecution for the crime of bribery was ordered against the company SC Global Defense Logistics SRL, as well as two of its representatives, one of whom is a Greek citizen.
According to the website mariustuca.ro, the FBI will begin a wide-ranging investigation to uncover the Romanian network that helped siphon billions of dollars of US taxpayers’ money intended for support to Ukraine.
Also this week, Romania’s National Anticorruption Directorate carried out its largest ever operation in the port of Constanta. Big names came to give their names. Seen in this light, the picture of Georgescu’s being brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the raids by the authorities on his close associates can also be seen from another angle.
How dangerous is Georgescu and how much are the people at the top of Romania afraid of the investigations of the Americans who are on the money trail? And we all know that the Americans have a big soft spot: money.
