Jared Taylor is an American academic and editor of ‘American Renaissance’, a website dedicated to covering race relations in the United States and the wider Western World. He is also the President of the New Century Foundation, through which he has published many of his own books. Taylor is also a popular public speaker and has made many appearances on media and at conferences worldwide. He is one of the most notable figures in the American nationalist scene of the past few decades.
Hello, Jared, and thank you so much for joining us here at Eagle Eye Explore. We always enjoy speaking with guests that many others might not otherwise engage with, for various reasons. On this subject, could you please explain to our audience, who might not have heard of you before, your own background and why many – especially in the mainstream media – are often to reluctant to speak with and debate you, despite your strong academic credentials and broad experience as a public speaker internationally?
I founded American Renaissance in 1990 because almost no one was openly defending the rights of white people, either in the United States or in Europe. In the US, despite laws passed in the 1960s that banned racial discrimination, there was systematic discrimination against whites that went under the name of “affirmative action”. Whites were also being reduced to a minority through mass, third-world immigration. The crisis was not so sharp in Europe at that time, but now it is clear that many national governments – and certainly the European Union – are co-operating in the dispossession of their own people, and accept and even promote replacement by foreigners.
The media do not report my views and academics do not want to debate me because, ironically, any explicit effort by whites to defend their own interests, and even to remain the majority population in their own homelands, is called “hate”. Even people who quietly agree with me are often browbeaten into silence for fear of being called “racists”.
Of course, you are but one of countless nationalist figures who suffered from legal problems simply due to your own political beliefs. In your case, you have been banned from entering certain countries. Why do these states see you as such a threat that they refuse to even allow you into their countries, despite your otherwise harmless background as an academic and public speaker?
Isn’t it ironic that someone who loves Europe, her people and culture, and wants them to survive, should be banned from Europe? When nations within the Schengen Group declare such bans, they offer no explanation or even any warning. This has happened to me twice. In 2019, I learned only when I got off a plane in Zurich that the Polish Government had banned me from Schengen for three years. I was sent back on the next plane. I waited until 2023 and was again booted back to the US, with the information that my three-year ban had been extended by two more years. You can imagine how infuriating it is to make arrangements to give talks, give interviews and meet friends – not to mention booking hotel rooms and buying air tickets within Europe – only to be bounced at the border. The Poles never explained the bans, but I assume they had to do with talks I had given years earlier to a Catholic group called All Polish Youth. Only since 2025 have I been able to go back to the Mother Continent – four times, so far – and I have enjoyed it very much.
In 2016, I received a letter from then-British Home Secretary Theresa May, explaining that because of statements I had made, my presence in Britain was “not conducive to the public good”. That ban continues to this day. At least the British had the good manners to warn me not to come. It appears that our rulers are terrified that some of us agree with the Dalai Lama, who has explained several times that European should be for Europeans. Why is he not banned, but a son of England is?

What do you think the modern political establishment in the Western World is so afraid of, considering their frequent crackdowns against what we would otherwise refer to as “political dissidents”?
I don’t have a good explanation. For every other race of people, it is obviously legitimate to care passionately about their own survival as distinct peoples within their own inviolable homelands, in which they will be the permanent majority. That is the only way Turks or Japanese or Indonesians can be sure that their destiny will remain in their own hands. No one objects to this.
The only “Western” country where national preservation is not considered scandalous is Israel, which formally calls itself the home of the Jewish people. Israelis understand that if Jews became a minority, Israel would change in ways Jews wouldn’t like. I don’t have a simple explanation for why the same thinking does not apply to France or Germany or Serbia, for example.
You have often been labelled by your critics and the mainstream media as a so-called “white supremacist”, yet there is very little to no evidence of you ever espousing supremacist views. Only views which can be referred to as “white advocacy”. Why do you believe that many are so quick to refer to you – and other similar nationalists – as white supremacists, despite the lack of evidence?
“White supremacist” is a historical term that has no meaning today. A white supremacist is someone who thinks whites should rule over people of other races. I have never met such a person. Whites, like all people, should have the right to national homelands. Koreans can insist on a Korean homeland without being called “supremacists”.
“White supremacist” is a common insult for white advocates because the word evokes slavery and lynching. It is the most lurid way to try to undermine the respectability of a white person. It implies that anyone who thinks whites have legitimate racial interests is morally stunted, even evil.
The subject matter of race in the United States has been a core social and cultural talking point in your country’s history since, arguably, even before the United States came into existence. Why is race, even 250 years later, still such a controversial talking point in the USA today, in 2026?
Race is controversial because it is not possible to build a happy multiracial society – certainly not with people as different as whites and blacks. Every system we have tried – slavery, segregation, integration, colour-blindness, DEI – is a clumsy way to try to make multiracialism work. Every system failed. The solution is separation, for people of different races to go their own ways. After more than 400 years of failed multi-racialism, this should obvious. I think people are shocked by this proposal because, deep down, they agree. As our great humorist Mark Twain used to say, “Nothing astonishes people more than to tell them the truth.”
As an advocate for white people in the United States, in the face of ever-present racial tensions in your society, what are your personal thoughts and feelings surrounding the Presidency of Donald Trump and the overwhelmingly Republican composition of the current US Government? Do you believe that the Trump Administration, in its current form, is doing more to help or hinder your cause?
What Donald Trump has done in domestic policy has been wonderful: seal the border, deport illegals, end DEI in the government and fight it in the private sector, try to end birthright citizenship, ban travel from 39 “shithole” countries, end government celebrations of black holidays. However, his foreign policy has been so dreadful, that he makes it very easy to hate him, and this hatred taints all the good things he has done.
What could be more idiotic than to talk about annexing Canada, or invading Greenland, or to use tariffs as a personal political weapon whenever a foreign government does or says something he doesn’t like? Donald Trump is vain, untrustworthy, corrupt, erratic, childish and self-absorbed. He has also given Israel far too much influence on American policy, which explains his disastrous war with Iran. Trump has caused so much damage that he will make it hard for a Republican to win the presidency in 2028. The anti-white crackdown we can imagine with a Democrat in the White House will make the present seem like a golden age.
As a white American, naturally, your main focus is your own country of the United States of America. However, as a white American, ethnically, your ancestral homeland (or homelands, if you are of mixed ethnicity) is in Europe. How do you – and, by extension, other white American nationalists – view your relationship with your ancestral lands in Europe?
I like the claim the honor of calling myself a European. Although the first Taylor came to North America in 1635, and I am a devoted son of the Confederate States of America, everything that makes me American is deeply rooted in Europe: language, culture, heritage, sensibilities, faith of my fathers, our way of being men and women in the face of life, death, love and tragedy. I have much more in common with an Estonian who speaks a language utterly incomprehensible to me than I do with millions of American citizens whose origins are different from mine. To me, all white people are part of what I call the World Brotherhood of Europeans. We are kinsmen – an extended family – and no one else is part of our family.
This does not mean that I have any hostility towards people who are not part of our family. I have great admiration for the accomplishments of other families, and I wish all people well. But our family comes first.

Something that would be of interest to our domestic Serbian audience is that there is a significant Serb diaspora in the United States – especially in Chicago. Diaspora communities of Balkan heritage are often known to integrate extremely well in foreign lands. In a hypothetical scenario, if the United States were to be territorially divided into different “ethno-states”, as it were, do you think that white Americans of differing ethnic backgrounds and cultures would be able to get along and work together for a common good?
Yes. There was a time when the United States was called a melting pot – and for good reading. When the ingredients of the pot were all European, there was a fruitful amalgamation, and many ancient European hostilities were set aside in America. The obvious dividing line in the United States is not religion or language or even class. It is race. It is on the basis of race that America will eventually break up, and Serbs and other Balkan peoples will be unquestioningly considered full members of a – or several – white ethnostate(s).
And finally, to close off this interview, of course, we would be very much interested in hearing about your thoughts on the current demographic situation in Europe. Mass immigration – both legal and illegal – has been a growing concern among an increasing number of native Europeans, to the point where more and more people are beginning to vote for far-right parties. Do you believe that this trend will only continue, given the ongoing immigration into Europe, and what message do you have for the millions of Europeans who are concerned about the growing demographic crises affecting their respective nations?
Although Europe has come to the crisis of multi-racialism later than the United States, you face exactly the same challenges we do. Fortunately, millions of Europeans – especially young Europeans – are waking up to the impending horror. Slowly, slowly, the democratic process is beginning to reflect a renewed determination of the white man not to crawl ingloriously off the stage of history. We will overthrow “leaders” who have betrayed us and clean house.
This brings me back to the World Brotherhood of Europeans. Whether we live on the Old Continent or North America or Australia or in white enclaves in South America or Africa, we are the same people, sharing the same heritage and the same fate. We will rise or fall together, and I am delighted to see patriots joining hands across borders to seek common solutions.
And yes, I have a message. I have been standing up for white people for more than 35 years. For perhaps the first 25, it seemed I was shouting into a hurricane. Not anymore. I have never felt more optimistic. We will have setbacks, and sometimes it may seem that there is little hope, but take it from a 74-year-old man who has been in this fight for a long time: We are making tremendous progress, and we and our descendants will ensure that Europe’s light will shine brightly for ever.
